Archaeological Bent

We are not archaeologists but are enthusiastic about cataloging what sites exist on and around the sierra. We haven’t enough free time to go up the mountain but twice weekly and have no money for decent equipment. We are however reading some introductory textbooks in the interest of making our additions to the pool of knowledge about El Castellar useful for others, should anyone ever seek to study the mountain in greater depth. We will try not to mess anything up. We won’t be excavating anything nor will we be touching any of the cave paintings (pinturas rupestres).
